Mr. Kirschner joined Fiscal Advisors & Marketing, Inc. in
April 2009 and acts as a consultant for the Corporate Headquarters Office.
Prior to joining Fiscal Advisors Mr. Kirschner was the Commissioner of
Finance for Ulster County, New York. Mr. Kirschner worked
for Ulster County since 1977 starting as the Treasurer and retired in
February 2009 as their Commissioner of Finance. Mr. Kirschner is a graduate
of the Albany Business School and attended the State University of New Paltz.
Mr. Kirschner was the first Democrat to serve as President for the Ulster
County Supervisor's and Legislators' Association. Mr. Kirschner was a Board
Member of Kingston Hospital for more than twenty years and also served as
secretary. Being an elected County Legislator for three terms, past
President of the Town of Esopus Democratic Club, past Committeeman for the
Town of Esopus and City of Kingston, and the past Vice-President of the
Ulster County Young Democrats are a few of his accomplishments. Mr.
Kirschner has many awards and been honored for volunteering his time and
services too many organizations. Mr. Kirschner is past President/Present
Advisory Board member of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA)
and New York State Treasurers' and Finance Officers' Association (NYSTFOA).
He a Chairperson, Board of Directors, Executive and Audit Committee member
for the New York Liquid Asset Fund (NYLAF). Mr. Kirschner is a Board member
and Tax/Finance Committee member for the New York State Association of
Counties (NYSAC).
